DO
YOU WANT TO PREPARE FOR THE EXAMINATION?
Then don’t bother yourself
much, I will like to share some Work through and some tips that will help
prepared fully the Examination.
First of all I will suggest
some Gadget that you Might need to study for this examination with less stress.
1. Laptop (with of CD ROM)
2. Internet Enable Mobile
Phone
3. Dutch Dictionary or
Translator (You can getthat on your Phone for free)
4. A big Headphone (why i
said you used this Big phone it just to familiarize yourself with the Headset used at the Embassy) its not compulsory
to have all this gadget I listed though but I’m just sharing with you the exact
way I have practiced for my Examination.
As you already know the
Civic Integration
Examination Consist 3 Parts:
KNS
TGN
GBL
So I will take it one step
at a time, Lets first get down with:
KENNIS
VAN DE NEDERLANDSE
SAMENLEVING
It simply means Knowledge of
the Netherlands Society, So this part of the examination is going to be all
about the Society, Culture and History.
You may be worried about how
you going to learn all this when you are still in your Country, Don’t worry
about that, I give you tips and advice you will need.
HOW TO PREPARE:
NAAR
NEDERLAND
METHOD:
Grab your (NAAR NEDERLAND)
packet and unpacked it you will see a Green covered Packet with the Title of "Naar Nederland De Film” and a Textbook with
Green cover also with title “Naar
Nederland Fotoboek”
The textbook is what you
will use to prepared for this Section of the Examination, at the back of the
Text book, there's a CD's, you have to play this CD in your Audio Player,
Don’t worry i will give more
information about that later on.
When you have unpacked your
Naar Nederland Packet, Bring out the “Naar
Nederland De
Film” there’s Movie in the CD, Take this CD and watch it in your preferred
Language, you can choose
your Preferred Language on your TV screen. But i will
Advice you should get a
Laptop of your own, that will be your Study Class and your Study Classmates.
Back to the Film, You have
to watch this Movie as much as you can and you will need to pay good Attention
to what you are watching take note of all the picture you are seeing on your
Tv Screen.
After you have watched the
Film several times and you are sure you have familiarized yourself with the Film
that you are sure you understand what the CD is all about. Then it is time for
you to start practicing what Question that will be asked during the Civic Integration
Examination.
This is how to practice, take
the Green Text
book i mentioned earlier “Naar Nederland Fotoboek” then take the Audio at the back of it. Play
the Audio and put your Big Headset on and take the Green Text book and open it,
The Green Textbook consist just Pictures all about Nederland and the Pictures
is what you will see in the Real Exam.
Listen to the audio carefully
and pay attention to the Question asked and Answer given and at the same time
look at the Each Picture along as the question asked, Practiced like this for sometimes
then do away with the book, Play the audio only and Listen to the Question and Answer,
Do this for sometimes then take the
Books again this time around
you have to Participate in the Lesson.
When each questions are asked
look at the Picture and say the Answer before the Audio say it, then when the
audio say it then check if you are Right or Wrong..
NOTE: The Green book
consist 100 pictures but the Real Exam consist just 30 pictures in which they
are randomly selected from the 100
Pictures. So Practice as
much as you can. There is no reason to failed this Part of the
Examination because it’s the
easies. So don’t be lazy try all your best to study this part well.
After you have practice and
you are sure you followed the Study package well, you can test how far you have
progress but you will need Internet to take this Test.
Take your laptop log on to
the Internet and visit this Website www.toetskns.nl
This website consist all the
100 questions you can listen to the Question and look at the of each and Give each
Answer Correctly or you can Email i will
Do the Test for you for
free. But it has to be on
Internet via Skype or other
means.

TOETS GESPROKEN NEDERLAND (TGN)
This is Key of the
Examination and this part of the examination has to deal with the Oral Skills,
it will be conducted in Dutch language, in this section you wont have
access to any booklet and you are not inquire to write anything. All is based
on your Oral skills.
I am so sure you must be so
tense right but you don’t need to be, it’s just an exam. Then lets get down on how to prepared and
practice for this Section. But I will need you to pay attention to this very
part of the exam, this TGN have sub division, The TGN is divided into part
Nazeggen
Korte Vragen
Nazeggen
Tegenstelling
Verhalen verstelling
In which each part of this
sections demand different kind of practicing and you have to pay serious
attention on each parts.
NAZEGGEN
In this very part you
listen to a voice saying a Dutch Sentences 3 – 9 words in a Sentences, So you have to prepared
yourself very well for this part because it carries most of the point you will
need in the whole TGN.
HOW TO PREPARE:
NAAR NEDERLAND
METHOD:
You can use your (Naar Nederland) Study packet, unpacked
it then check for your E-Learning CD.
It’s a Single CD in a Blue packet; insert the CD into your laptop. Can
you see why I said you should get your Own Laptop? The E-learning CD can only
work on your Computer!
When you have inserted the
CD, Please pay attention to each Lesson on CD, the CD was designed to guide you
through your self-Study about the language.
The Advantage of the CD is
that if you followed the CD thoroughly you will learn both TGN and GBL at the
same time. There is a particular part in CD that can help you with the Nazeggen, you click the Audio icons and
listen carefully to the words you hear from the Audio and count your Fingers
and select how many words you hear. By doing this particular part you are
preparing yourself for the Section. Check the picture of below for
illustration.

As you can see from the Pictures above, you will find some many of this Parts on the E-Learning CD. From Lesson 1 to the Last Lesson.
OFFLINE METHOD:
Another way to study is to
download all the Nazeggen Practice
Audio Test below:
When you have downloaded
the files you can put on your laptop or you can put on your mobile phone and
listen to every time and say after what you can heard form the Audio, by doing this
you are preparing yourself for the Nazeggen.
You can also download the Text File files and look at Words you are
listening to at the same time.
VOICENOTE METHOD:
Another way to practice is
with your Dutch partner you may wonder how? Don’t worry I will share the method
with you, you will need a Whatsapp Application or Any application that can send
instant Voice Note, Your Dutch partner can say some sentences about things
around him or anything that comes to her mind then you listen then send back a
voice note saying what you can hear from the Voice note by doing this you are
Preparing yourself.
ADIVICE: I will advice you to use all this method together,
I used the three all together and it really help a lot.
KORTE VRAGEN
Korte Vragen means Short
Questions, so this part its going to be will all be about asking you Questions
and you giving the Correct answer.
The Questions is quite
simple though but it cant be nonsense to your ears when you don’t understand
any dutch at all, But for you to be able to Understand this part of the Exam,
you will need to practice more of Understanding Dutch words, So I will advice
you to start from Basic things like (Body, houses, people, colour, Size, etc.)
HOW TO PREPARE:
NAAR NEDERLAND
You can study for this also
using the Naar Nederland E-Learning CD I mention earlier. Insert the CD into
your laptop and follow from LESSION 1-
26 carefully make sure you understand every part of the Lesson, by doing
this you are preparing yourself for the TGN and GBL at the same time. Yes it’s
so possible don’t be surprise.
OFFLINE METHOD:
Another way to practice for
this part of the exams is by downloading all the files below:
Listen to the audio and
answer the questions the audio is asking you, but you have to practice with the
Text, so that you will see what question you are asking and also the answer. By
doing this you are preparing yourself.
Another way to practice is
by doing it with your partner via the Voicenote as I have mention earlier in Nazeggen, Your partner can asked you some questions in
Dutch and you just send back the Correct answer and Your partner can access
your pronunciation and the Answer if its correct or not.
ADVICE:
This is just Words and
Opposite like we once learn in our English Classes, There are Thousands of
Dutch words and Opposite you need to learn.
It’s even Endless in my own
view.
You just have to learn as
much as your brain can take,
HOW TO PREPARE:

METHOD:
To find the tegenstelling Unpack
your Naar Nederland Packet and Bring out the Heaviest book there, the one in
Blue Colour, “Toets Gesproken Nederlands
en de Geletterdheid” turn to the back othe book you will find many of the
tegenstelling there, learn as much as you can.

VERHALEN
In this part of the
Examination you will get two Story, in which the story will be tell and you
must listen carefully and Re-tell the Story. You can prepare by listen to story
that are tell in dutch so you can familarize yourself with it.
How to Prepare:
Naar Nederland Method:
Insert the E-Learning CD
and follow from Lesson 15- the last Lesson you will get enough story to listen
to, even by doing you can see how the story goes and what happen in the story
and such.
OFFLINE METHOD:

GBL
GELETTERDHEID EN BEGRIJPEN LESSEN
GBL is to test your Skills
of Understanding Written Dutch words and your ability to pronounce them
fluently.
As I already said that this
very part is to check your capability to understand written words and if you
are able to Pronounce written Words clearly and understandable. Basically you will be tested in the Vowels
and Consonants Combination; you have to practice so well for this Part of the
Examination, as I was told. Because it’s the Hardest of all, you have to take
your time to learn the language Rules of Pronunciations and Follow the Rules
thoroughly.
In the Examination Hall,
you will be given a booklet, the whole parts of the GBL is on the Booklet. GBL
is has section also like TGN, and I do hope you have go through the first
Page on this Blog, if you haven’t follow this link and read it carefully

has quite some Rules and Regulations. Don’t worry I will share the Rules with
you. Let’s get down on how to practice for this GBL
HOW TO PREPARE:
NAAR NEDERLAND METHOD:
How to practice, you can
study using the Naar Nederland E-Learning Cd follow all the Lessons on the CDs
especially from 21- to the last Page of the CD. Using the CD you will need
those Pronunciations indirectly but don’t expect to see a list of Rules and
Regulations on the CD.
OFFLINE METHOD:
Another way to practice is
to download the files below and study it well.

designed as of the real exam booklet but its not the real examination booklet
its just to practice.

HOW TO USE GBL PRACTICE
BOOKLET:
After you have downloaded
the two files
Play the audio and take the
booklet
As the audio start playing,
Pay attention and pratice the booklet with the Audio guiding you.
VOICENOTE METHOD:
Of course you can access
your Progress by using the Voice-note Method.
I don’t need much
explanation on how to use this method again.
NOTE: in
the exam hall, you will be given a Booklet a booklet in which you can work on
it. Any answer you write on the booklet doesn’t count, what count is what you
say to the Microphone.
TIPS: when
you are in the exam hall, and Pronunciation is the first
part of the Exam you will get 4 boxes in which they have words on it, the first
boxes the words are short but as you progress its long and longer, don’t worry
you will get some example of how the GBL booklet looks like, so in this part is
your pronunciation skills is really needed in Exam. So learn as much rules you
can learn as possible.
The Second section is the Reading short sentences
and your pronunciations is needed also here and this time around you should be
cautious and don’t have rush, even though there is no much time. You will get
about 5 to 10 words sentences. You have to read them aloud and more clearly and
in good intonation and pronunciations.
The third is reading story
fluently, Try your best to pronounce the vowels and Consonants correctly, don’t
rush yourself just make used you pronounce each words correctly. You will read
2 Stories.
The Fourth is the Fill in
the Gap, when you are given the booklet I will advice to pick your pen and
start filling the (Filling in the Gap) Questions because when the exam started
you may be so tense in that part.
Utilized the Time when the Computer is explains to finished to two parts
to surpass the tense it might cause when the exam start.
Fifth is the 3 Stories you
have answered questions about it. I will advice you to used the Fourth tip also
for this. It will really helps.
